The launching of Hair Brasil 2010 brings together
the top names of the beauty care market

The 9th edition of HAIR BRASIL – International Beauty, Hair and Esthetics Fair, held in the city of São Paulo, from March 27 to 30, will show the main launchings for the market of beauty salons, esthetics clinics, and spas.

The fair has impressive figures: 700 Brazilian and international exhibitor's brands; 65,000 m² of exhibition area; 20% of growth over the previous edition; and the expectation of 67,000 professional visits in four days.

More than a fashion and trade fair, HAIR BRASIL is the Latin American meeting point of the beauty care market. “The fair will bring together great professional brands and the best of the hair and esthetics market in a show with an international infrastructure. We have also an expansive program of events for professional enhancement, as workshops, congresses, and high quality fashion shows”, says Jeferson Santos, general director of Hair Brasil.

Since its first edition, in 2001, HAIR BRASIL relies on the institutional sponsorship of Intercoiffure Mondial, international organization of high quality hairdressing present in 54 countries. HAIR BRASIL has been one of the great supporters of the Brazilian section of Intercoiffure, with joint actions to valorize the entity and promote an approach with Brazilian and Latin American top hairstylists.

2nd largest world market

The Brazilian market for cosmetics, hairdressing products and toiletries is growing even more after the world finance crisis. The country has just passed Japan and now occupies the second position in a world ranking of cosmetics and hair products consumption. With a yearly turnover of US$ 13.4 billion (R$ 24,54 billion), Brazil is just behind the United States, according to data from ABIHPEC – Brazilian Association of the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrances Industries.

HAIR BRASIL improves its international market
Hair Brasil has been investing in a large international promotion program and some results will show in this edition of the fair. For the first time, almost 40 international exhibitors come to Hair Brasil to show novelties and meet the Brazilian market.
This will be the major Chinese participation: the group has already confirmed 24 exhibitors with a wide range of hair products and accessories. Italy is coming with two exhibiting companies for the second time, and the United States will debut with companies specialized in makeup and nail products.

International institutions vouch for Hair Brasil
The Department of Commerce of the United States, integrated with the US Consulate, has just certified Hair Brasil as a reliable fair to make business with. The aim is to improve the business relations among the two countries, bringing American companies to taste the market and find out a strategy for it.
Hair Brasil also has strategic alliances with international beauty shows such as Salón Look Madri (Spain), Mondial Coiffure Beauté (France), and Cosmesur (Buenos Aires). With an active participation in these events, HAIR BRASIL is looking to increase its international disclose and also to attract international exhibitors and visitants attention.

Qualified visits
Opened exclusively to professionals of the beauty and hair market, HAIR BRASIL hosts hairdressers and entrepreneurs from Brazil and from abroad. In 2009 the fair recorded professionals from all over Brazil and 18 countries, highlighting Chile, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Spain, France, Italy, China, and the United States.
